Family Dances

How do the real relationships between performers shine through in what we see on stage?

Working with the real relationships between parents and children, siblings, and other family members is a special treat for me as a choreographer. Whether or not the dances address the family relationships directly, it is always a rich process to work with people who have such deep and intimate connections. With the exception of my first family dance (On the Cusp), this is my least political work, but it brings me much joy.
